A NEW RADIO STATION FOR WORCESTER
HITS THE AIRWAVES IN MARCH!
Youthcomm, who run Worcestershires first and only 24/7 internet-only radio station, will be hitting the airwaves during March 2003 when YOUTHCOMM 105.2 FM goes on air throughout Worcester and the surrounding area.
The station will be on air 24 hours a day from March 3rd to 30th inclusive, broadcasting News, Views, & Todays Best Music" exclusively to local young people -- a first for any radio station in Worcester!
As well as experienced local presenters, Youthcomms free in-house Radio Training Course means that lots of the stations programming will come from local young people themselves, enjoying their first big break in radio!
The radio station will sound fun, fresh, and different. There is no set music policy, there are no advertisers to please (Youthcomm is a non-profit organisation, and part of Worcestershire Youth Service), and there is no wide-ranging 'variety of music to please all age groups. Youthcomm 105.2FM will truly be By Young People, For Young People" , with a mixture of chart, pop, dance, alternative, and rock music, as well as news and views of general interest (news bulletins will be hourly and last for 3 minutes).
Youthcomm is fully interactive -- listeners can text in their requests and views, telephone in to the studio, or watch all the action live on the studio webcam, online, where theres also song playlists, DJ profiles, full schedule information, and more details about the Youthcomm project as a whole.
Programming highlights include;
