ISM Announces the 2003 Top 30 CRM Software Packages: Top 15 CRM Software Companies Honored at Awards Ceremony

ISM, Inc., leading customer relationship management (CRM) strategic advisors, announced today the 2003 Top 30 CRM software packages. The Top 15 of the 30 CRM software packages were honored during the CRM industry’s premier awards ceremony at DCI’s Chicago CRM Conference and Exposition at the McCormick Place.

BETHESDA, MD, February 19, 2003 - ISM, Inc., leading customer relationship management (CRM) strategic advisors, announced today the 2003 Top 30 CRM software packages. The Top 15 of the 30 CRM software packages were honored during the CRM industry’s premier awards ceremony at DCI’s Chicago CRM Conference and Exposition at the McCormick Place.

Barton Goldenberg, president of ISM, and co-chair of DCI’s CRM conferences worldwide, kicked-off this year’s 11th annual celebration by congratulating the Top 15 winners for their ability to offer the best, most comprehensive CRM software functionality within today’s challenging climate.

Despite the economic downturn, ISM is predicting an annual 10-15% growth rate for the CRM industry from 2003-2007. “We are seeing a positive rebound in the CRM marketplace,” noted Goldenberg. “Mergers and consolidations, along with Microsoft’s entry into CRM have meant new market growth and exciting CRM technical features, including wireless components, XML, Web services and process-oriented architectures.”

Based on ISM surveys with CRM vendors, 50% of all CRM software applications will work in a wireless environment by end-2003. This figure should increase to 60% by end-2004, and to 90% by end-2005.

“Not only will users benefit from new technical features but from new CRM business functionality that incorporates analytics, product configuration, content and knowledge management technology and graphical workflow mapping tools,” said Goldenberg.

Clear Technologies, Inc., and SalesPage Technologies, Inc., are new to the Top 15 list. The complete list of the Top 15 packages, listed in alphabetical order by software name, is:
