The new Wizdom EducationLive! website provides an exclusive means for community service providers to keep up to date on Special Education events, and provides one stop marketing for them - and one stop shopping for their customers. Wizdom EducationLive! automatically generates the database of all service providers relevant to any particular school district.
Among the many benefits of Wizdom EducationLive! is that community service providers can go to the Wizdom EducationLive! website and view their entire history of services. Should an event cause a particular service to become unavailable, this information is entered into Wizdom EducationLive! and then immediately sent to schools eligible for that service, so that they do not needlessly contact the service provider. When Wizdom EducationLive! is accessed through the Wizdom TransPlanner!, schools will be automatically linked to service providers who are specific to the needs of each individual child as part of their Individualized Transition Plan (ITP).
Wizdom TransPlanner! is software that automatically generates a studentÂs mandatory Individual Transition Program (ITP) for the period when he/she is 14 until high school is completed. Unique to the marketplace, and the subject of a Wizdom patent application, TransPlanner! specifically links organizations and agencies in the community  a requirement by law, with the needs of the student in a time line exact to meeting those needs. For example, a drivers training instructor at the time the student is eligible to take drivers training and must have drivers training to meet a job goal will be a specific event identified by TransPlanner!. Wizdom TransPlanner! is a web based product that integrates with any school districtÂs SIS.
To start the process community service providers complete a simple survey form which is then automatically converted to an info file for use by the Wizdom TransPlanner!
In addition to its product offerings Wizdom provides training in all aspects of the Special Education process. Wizdom is authorized by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) to issue Continuing Education Units (CEU) and Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDU) in this field.
Wizdom completed a contract with theUS Department of Education to research the transition planning needs of individuals with disabilities. Wizdom software was developed from this research. A white paper detailing the results of this research is available from Wizdom.
