IBM names SCS, Inc. #1 in 2002 growth
Syracuse, N.Y. -- IBM ranked SCS Inc. as one of its top 13 resellers in North and South America and awarded the company with the 2002 IBM Business Partner Leadership Award at the IBM PartnerWorld Global Business Partner Conference earlier this month. IBM also recognized the company as their number one U.S. partner in Y2Y storage growth and presented it with the 2002 IBM Storage Team Award.

Syracuse, N.Y. -- IBM ranked SCS Inc. as one of its top 13 resellers in North and South America and awarded the company with the 2002 IBM Business Partner Leadership Award at the IBM PartnerWorld Global Business Partner Conference earlier this month. IBM also recognized the company as their number one U.S. partner in Y2Y storage growth and presented it with the 2002 IBM Storage Team Award.
SCS, headquartered in Syracuse, N.Y., provides business customers in the northeastern United States with servers, storage solutions, networked infrastructure, website development and technical support, among many other things. SCS carries 125 professional I/T certifications, of which close to 90 come from IBM.
SCS competes in the complicated supply chain structure of the B2B computer technology market by acting as more than just a go-between for manufacturers and customers. SCS number one priority is to demonstrate to clients the unknown benefits and savings opportunities of I/T usage - educating businesses on how technology can digitize processes, streamline communications and improve customer service.

Americas Business Partner Leadership Awards are given by IBM annually to several Business Partners who are recognized as top sellers and influencers of systems among IBM Business Partners in the Americas. Recipients are selected based on their achievements with regard to business contribution, competency, customer satisfaction and commitment. For their 2002 accomplishments, only 13 companies received this award from IBM, from among the more than 1,500 firms selling IBM servers in the Americas. This is the Premier award for the Premier partners that the IBM Americas Business Partner organization chooses to recognize.
The Storage Team Award was given to SCS for growing the storage sales 270 percent and leading all partners in the Americas in Y2Y growth.
