MASTIFF is a security product that resides between the operating system and all information stored on disk. All access is subject to Rules-of-Behavior defined for the site. These rules ensure that information can only be accessed in a defined manner and used only as intended. All other access is prevented. Stored information means more than just user data files. It includes system images, tools, utilities, loadable modules, directory structures, and everything else on disk. MASTIFF operates independently of all other layers of your security regime and acts as your last-chance defender of information integrity. MASTIFF can override all access granted by any other security layer, including 'super user' privileges. MASTIFF ensures that the behavior of your system and your information resources conform to the intended purpose. MASTIFF administration is performed using an integrated point-and-shoot utility with secure network capabilities.
