SiteScape Announces Forum Program Management v1.0
Collaboration module helps manage multiple projects across the enterprise
Maynard, MA (PRWEB) February 27, 2003 - SiteScape, Inc., a leading provider of collaboration software and hosted services, today introduced Forum Program Management, a new software add-on to SiteScape Enterprise Forum 7.0 which allows program managers to track the progress of multiple projects across multiple organizations. Forum Program Management is an optional application that is completely integrated with SiteScape Enterprise Forum 7.0 collaboration software. Enterprise Forum 7.0 provides the underlying collaborative framework - threaded discussions, document management, calendar sharing, workflow, chat, instant messaging, and real-time conferencing.
"SiteScape's new program management product combines the best of features for program management and collaboration," said Timothy P. Butler, President & CEO of SiteScape, Inc. "It not only allows you to manage multiple projects, it also includes all the features you need to collaborate with colleagues and business partners." According to Butler, enterprise-level programs involve multiple vendors, technologies and business partners; therefore, program management requires technology that enables project teams and key stakeholders to come together across multiple locations, organizations and technology platforms. "To put it simply," said Butler, "program management without collaboration is risky business."
Forum Program Management helps keep programs on track by giving users top-down, dashboard visibility into multiple projects within their program. Users have the option to drill down into specific projects to focus on tasks and priority items. They can also capture action items and decisions, and get at-a-glance views of priorities and project status. The software creates a searchable record of project/program activities, including meeting history, agendas, action items and calendars for reuse or reference at a later date.
According to Butler, SiteScape Program Management meets the growing demand for secure, web-based program management tools in the private sector and in government/DoD industries. "Particularly since September 11, government organizations that work with classified or proprietary information have multiple security requirements for program management activities," said Butler. "We designed this software to leverage DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), which provides higher security and eliminates the need for passwords," he added.
