Purolator Courier Honors GEOCOMtms with their Technology Supplier Award
Quebec City, Canada, February 26, 2003 -- GEOCOMtms, architect of the A.MAZE technology that simultaneously optimizes the routing and scheduling of fleet operations, announced today that it has received the Purolator Technology Supplier Recognition Award 2002 in appreciation for the successful implementation and remarkable results achieved by its A.MAZE highly scalable solution.
In 2001, Purolator was looking to optimize their service territories and reduce their operations costs. The answer for them was the scalable A.MAZE constraint-based fleet route optimization solution from GEOCOMtms. During the supplier selection process, Purolator was looking for a minimum 5% improvement, for an area that they had already optimized. The A.MAZE solution has been deployed across the entire Canadian territory and has been showing an average of more than 11% reduction of number of couriers. Additionally, the productivity rate per zone, considered as an important performance coefficient at Purolator, improved by 4.5%.
