Quebec City, Canada, February 26, 2003 Â? GEOCOMtms, architect of the A.MAZE technology that simultaneously optimizes the routing and scheduling of fleet operations, announced today that it has received the Purolator Technology Supplier Recognition Award 2002 in appreciation for the successful implementation and remarkable results achieved by its A.MAZE highly scalable solution.

In 2001, Purolator was looking to optimize their service territories and reduce their operations’ costs. The answer for them was the scalable A.MAZE constraint-based fleet route optimization solution from GEOCOMtms. During the supplier selection process, Purolator was looking for a minimum 5% improvement, for an area that they had already optimized. They obtained 7% through the A.MAZE constraint-based fleet route optimization solution from GEOCOMtms, which gave them the required value and ROI to move this project forward.

The A.MAZE solution has been deployed across the entire Canadian territory and has been showing an average of more than 11% reduction of number of couriers. Additionally, the productivity rate per zone, considered as an important performance coefficient at Purolator, improved by 4.5%. Mark Tilden, VP of Engineering, Quality Assurance and Facilities at Purolator commented, "As a leader among our industry, it is important for Purolator to honor suppliers such as GEOCOMtms that create real value and contribute to our success."

"We are extremely proud to be recognized by Purolator for our fleet scheduling optimization expertise," stated Bernard Têtu, President and CEO of GEOCOMtms, "It is our mission at GEOCOMtms to deliver real-time technology and work with our customers to deliver net profits as a result of increased performance, and having Purolator, the largest Canadian courier company to witness these achievements is a clear statement about the superior quality of our team, vision and deliverables. We look forward to the next phases of deployment at Purolator which we expect to continue to return outstanding value."
