Claims Manager Software Gets Top Functionality Rating for Products Serving Health Plans up to 350,000 lives

Ashland, Oregon -- February 25, 2003 -- PLEXIS Healthcare Systems' Claims Manager software was recently ranked number one in an independent survey of Managed Care Information Systems (MCIS) conducted by the AC Group, Inc. of Houston, TX. The results of the comprehensive evaluation were released in a seven-page report produced by the Group. The report examines future trends in the payer industry and provides an in-depth capabilities survey to assist the health plan community in evaluating the claims processing software available in the marketplace.

Fifteen leading MCIS software vendors were asked to respond to 542 questions covering 30 different areas of functionality. To insure that vendors submitted accurate responses to the questions, they were informed that each of the 542 questions would be included in specific contracts that were out to bid during 2002. Questions were assigned a relative value unit (RVU) which was based on perceived value to a health plan organization. Additionally, a point value was assigned to the type of answer given to each of the 542 questions.

According to the findings of this survey for health plans up to 350,000 lives, the top functionality score (97 percent) went to PLEXIS Health Systems' Claims Manager 5.0 software.
