Dallas-based, film production company, Tanglewood Films, launches web site and announces call for entries.

    The award-winning Tanglewood Films opens its doors online to aspiring screenwriters and filmmakers. Now in its second year, Tanglewood Films broadens its scope by inviting burgeoning writers, directors, actors, and the like into its online micro-studio. Tanglewood Films encourages those interested to submit projects, discuss the plight of the indie-filmmaker, ask questions and participate in contests all designed to support and assist the emerging writer and filmmaker.

    Helmed by local Dallas writer/director, David Haynes, Tanglewood Films currently incorporates the talents of Dallas-based directors, writers, producers, musicians and actors all of whom were key in the local productions of three projects by Tanglewood Films in 2002.

    Tanglewood Films plans to produce two feature-length films and several shorts in 2003. Projects will be drawn from top performers in two, Tanglewood-sponsored, script contests, individual, writer submissions and in-house properties.

    Tanglewood Films announces a call for entries in the True Independent Screenplay Competition which deadlines May 15, 2003 and the monthly First Fifteen Minutes Screenplay Competition which is ongoing and deadlines the end of each month. Awards include: cash prizes, free screenplay coverage and showcasing on the web site.
