Personal Trainer's Clinic Specifically Geared for Today's Personal Trainer

To help with the latest research and business issues facing today's personal trainer, the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is excited to bring their popular Personal Trainer's Clinic to Las Vegas, Nevada, April 11-12, 2003.


PERSONAL TRAINERS CLINIC SPECIFICALLY GEARED
FOR TODAYS PERSONAL TRAINER


Colorado Springs, CO --(February 27, 2003)-- Todays personal trainers are much more than adult baby-sitters; their role as complete health and fitness teachers" is more evident today as more people invest in their services. With the obesity rate reaching all-time highs, and a never-ending barrage of get thin quick" schemes, the job of a personal trainer is challenging and constantly changing. To help keep up with the latest research and business issues facing todays personal trainer, the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is excited to bring its popular Personal Trainers Clinic to Las Vegas, Nevada, April 11-12, 2003.

"The NSCA's annual Personal Trainers Clinic is popular for good reason; the great line up in speaker talent, exceptional presentation topics, and the venues are second-to-none," stated Michael Barnes, CSCS,*D, NSCA-CPT, Director of Education for the NSCA.

Every presentation is specifically targeted to the personal training professional. During the two-day clinic, trainers will learn how to acquire and retain clients, gain insight into weight loss programming, examine legal issues involving internet training, how to develop working relationships with physicians, and learn effective low cost sales and marketing strategies. In addition, special hands-on sessions will take place to include: training seniors, training movements not muscles, and proper body composition testing techniques.
The clinic brings together a select group of academic and industry experts, such as:

¨   Bob Esquerre, MA, MES, NSCA-CPT, known in the fitness industry as The Trainer" of personal trainers.

¨   Gina Lombardi, NSCA-CPT,*D, specializes in shaping and conditioning Hollywood actors and musicians.

¨   Michelle Streif, NSCA-CPT, known for her work with older adults and clients with hypertension, osteoporosis, diabetes, and arthritis.

¨   Patrick Hagerman, EdD, CSCS,*D, NSCA-CPT,*D, NSCA 2002 Personal Trainer of the Year and current Board of Director member.

¨   Carrie White, MBA, JD, owner of her own training studio and expert witness in fitness and training liability cases.
