Attainium Implements Remote Online Backup for National Auctioneers Association

The association wanted to ensure the availability of its Web site, databases, email and association management system in the event of any business interruption, according to Robert A. The solution implemented by Attainium provides remote backup for the Web servers, which are outsourced to a hosting vendor, and also for the in-house servers that carry NAAs email and association management software. Although NAA maintains a tape backup, they wanted to add additional integrity to the process by having remote backup and storage for their critical data and applications. Now, regardless of the situation," Shively said, we can be up and running in hours with both our in-house and our Web servers."

Attainium utilized a remote backup solution from LiveVault Corporation that completely and continuously backs up server data, archives it in a secure off-site data center, and makes it immediately available for recovery. The solution allows users to check the status of their data protection operations and recovery archived data using a Web browser.
