Platinum Music Producers criticizes music industry Kazaa Bashers" and announces the launch of its new web site: the music industrys first Hip-Hop and R&B online music production company

March 3rd, 2003, Atlanta, Georgia -- Platinum Music Producers, the music industrys first global online music production company, today announced it has deployed its new Web site aimed at providing affordable platinum music production and free music business education information for aspiring Hip-Hop and R&B artists.

Because of its simplistic design and user-friendly interface, non-technical aspiring rappers, singers, managers and industry professionals have easy access to samples of Hip Hop and R&B tracks that they can hear online. Once artist hears a track they would like to use they can determine their budget, contact PMP and get a fully produced song to be used for a demo, a performance, a remix, or for a major label album release.

Technology has changed the way that we communicate with each other in our everyday lives. The music industry is no different. Although online resources like Kazaa and Napster are said to be having a negative effect on the music industry, Platinum Music Producers openly embraces technology and sees Kazaa and other P2P forums as a great way to break and promote new artists.

Instead of complaining about how technology is bad for the music business because people are downloading and swapping songs, artists and record labels should step up and produce better music and better albums. Why buy an album for $15.99 when it only has 2 good songs? Most people would rather download those 2 songs rather than waste money. Right now the industry is suffering because it is too artist focused rather than consumer-focused. Consumer-focused meaning -- it is critical to deliver to the consumer a good album from start to finish. PMP is committed to being consumer focused by elevating the quality of music, providing value added media on Hip Hop and R&B CDs and giving the consumer 15-18 great reasons to buy a CD rather than download a few songs." Said Don Dodds, Business Affairs Manager for PMP.
