CHICAGO TECHNOLOGY FIRM TO PROVIDE SERVICE TO CONSTRUCTION GIANT

Chicago-Property Technologies (Property Tech) has entered into an agreement with McClier to provide Electronic Construction Closeout (ECC) services for the 3 World Financial Center building, located at the World Trade Center Plaza, New York. The building, reoccupied in the fall of 2002 by its major tenant American Express, underwent significant restoration as a result of severe damages sustained during the September 11 terrorist attack that collapsed the twin towers.

Property Tech will work closely with McClier, project manager in charge of the restoration, to capture the vital project and building operations data. Material collected from the general contractor, Turner Construction, and other subcontractors involved in the project will be compiled into Property Techs ECC software program to create an electronic encyclopedia" of the building. Trammel Crow, as Facility Manager for American Express, will be able to access critical information essential to the day to day operation and maintenance of the facility with just a few clicks of the mouse, rather than searching through stacks of binders and manuals. Our focus is the functional lifecycle of the building, insuring that the necessary information for proper maintenance is available and that it can be easily retrieved," says Terrill Janssen, President of Property Tech.
