APPLIED GLOBAL TECHNOLOGIES ENHANCES ITS COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA CONTRACT THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH VERIZON

AGT and Verizon to work hand-in-hand to deliver video solutions to the Commonwealth

Rockledge, FL -- March 5, 2003 - Applied Global Technologies, a worldwide provider of reliable and worry-free video communications, is pleased to announce a new affiliation with Verizon who owns and operates the Virginia video and data network backbone (Network Virginia). Working as a sub-agent of AGT, Verizon will be able to augment Applied Globals services to the agencies and organizations associated with the Commonwealth of Virginia.

AGT was selected in June 2002 to provide the Commonwealth of Virginia with a wide range of videoconferencing products and services via the Videoconferencing Equipment and Full Integrator Services Contract (Contract # VA-020501-AGLT). In addition to complete installation and maintenance services, the contract offers a comprehensive menu of products from manufacturers that include Polycom, Tandberg, VCON, Adtran, AMX, Crestron, BiAmp, FVC, AMD, and Radvision.

The scope of the contract allows agencies and organizations associated with the Commonwealth of Virginia to purchase equipment and services from Applied Global that relates to video and audio communication. The products include video conferencing room systems and desktop codecs, multipoint control units (MCUs), gateways, gatekeepers, scheduling and management software, as well as fully managed video and audio services.

Services available under this contract include installation, maintenance of new and legacy equipment, as well as both onsite and telephone support. AGT has a support hotline that provides Commonwealth customers with technical experts available for dispatch to any place in the state from offices located in Virginia Beach and Chantilly.

Applied Globals five-year contract with the Commonwealth of Virginia is built upon a two-year base period and three one-year options.
