Canola - Vegetable Oil Eliminates (VOC) Volatile Organic Compounds in Manufacturing Plants.

Biodegradable vegetable oil can now replace petroleum based products in industry. This eliminates toxic waste and cleans the environment.

Canola oil, used in everything from candy bars and peanut butter to cooking french fries, is now being used to reduce (VOC) volatile organic compounds in factories. OSHA has identified VOC as one of the leading causes of respiratory disease in the work place.

Some symptoms of exposure to VOC are burning eyes, headache, irritated skin, nausea, and dizziness.

Pneumatic powered air tools are a primary contributor to VOC in the air. Oil particles are suspended in the air when the oil, used to lubricate pneumatic tools, is fired through air tools. Small particles of this oil create a mist that is then suspended in the air and breathed in by workers. If you have ever walked through a manufacturing facility, where air powered tools are used, you can immediately smell, and even see these particles through beams of light filtering into the environment.

A Chicago based company, BioBlend Lubricants Intl., that produces non-toxic biodegradable lubricants for industry has just released this canola based pneumatic tool lubricant. By combining high oleic canola oil with performance enhancing additives, BioBlend developed a natural product that eliminates these dangerous particles.

Doug Wallace, vice President of technology at Bioblend Lubricants said that canola based lubricants have been improved to the point where they now outperform even synthetic oil based products. Canola - Vegetable Oil Eliminates
