YOUNG TEEN RAP/HIP HOP GROUP COMING OUT OF THE SOUTH (HOUSTON) SINCE CASH MONEY'S "HOT BOYS."

The South especially Houston has been long stereotyped for it's screwed/chopped music made known by the late DJ Screw. Well there is a new teen rap group sensation hoping to change all that and hopefully put Houston on the map once more as Scarface, Lil Flip, and others have done in the past/present.

Houston has been long labeled with the screwed sound made nationally known by Houston's own, the late DJ Screw. Platinum Status Superstars, the new teen rap group sensation out of the heart of Houston, Texas hope to show the music world that Houston can also make music that is not only southern but also universal appealing. Their debut album simply titled Platinum Season," is a 19-track album that combines both East and West Coast style of rapping with a dash of the South.

How many teens (16-17 years of age) do you know that produce, write, arrange, and help market there own songs? President of Platinum Globe feels that this is what sets them apart from there counterparts or from the once rap group called "Hot Boys." This is all apparent with their debut songs titled Big Leagues, Unsatisfied, Yes Sir, Uh Huh, among 14 other tracks."

The label is still in the process of choosing there first single among many, but be rest assured you will soon hear it on radio waves, concerts/shows, and other music venues near you soon. You can listen to some of there tracks online at www.soundclick.com/platinumstatussuperstars where they are rated "THE HOTTEST SIGNED BAND" beating competitors like Jin signed with the Ruff Ryders or listen to two minute snippets of extra album tracks at www.cdbaby.com/pss where you could also purchase the album.

Catch them performing at the Talented10th Hip Hop Summit Aids/Hiv Awareness at the George R. Brown Convention Center May the 16th-18th. Eric Mbiu, President of Platinum Globe Entertainment told us at press time that the album will be available in stores early to late May as they iron out distribution matters.

Stay tuned!!!
