Los Angeles, CA, March 6, 2003 - Revotech announces the release of the new RJAX 6040, 75-ohm self-terminating wallplate connector. Current, non-terminated cable installations result in substantial signal loss from coax signal feeding back into the main cable system. RJAX 6040 terminates the coax line reducing signal loss and preventing emissions feedback from contaminating cable providers main systems.

How the RJAX 6040 Self-Terminating Wallplate Works:

Self-Terminating Keystone Wallplate Connectors:
All 75 ohm signals, once terminated, must be fully converted into energy. If the impedance matching is not perfect, part of this energy will be reflected and poor VSWR will result, especially at higher operating frequencies (i.e. computer graphics, digital video, etc.).

Terminated connections are not available for F-connectors in the typical home environment. Commercially used BNC connectors offer termination, which generally employs a 50 ohm type body with a generic 75 ohm DC resistor behind the center contact pin. Such termination is largely ineffective.

RJAX 6040s precision 75 ohm connector greatly exceeds (by 20 to 30 dB) commercial terminators, including those with a .1% tolerance rating.
