Performing Artist Wins Grant from City of Boston Conservation and Recycling Show a Hit

Renowned entertainer Peter OMalley of Peter Magic Laughter Productions has recently been awarded a grant from the City of Boston to perform his Conservation and Recycling" show at Boston elementary and middle schools.

Using magic and music as teaching tools, Peter OMalley of Peter Magic Laughter Productions, educates kindergarten through eighth grade students about the importance of conservation and recycling. With a Masters degree in Education, OMalley, a former teacher, has presented his conservation and recycling show to grades K-3 of the Boston school system for the last four years, captivating their attention and instilling information about the importance of preserving national resources and recycling in the home.

Having worked with children over many years, I have found that students learn in a dynamic environment that engages them and allows them to participate," noted OMalley. Im very pleased that the conservation and recycling program has been formally adopted and I look forward to working with school administrators and students."
   
Fostering the concept of edutainment", OMalley draws children in by gearing each performance to specific age groups and presenting materials in a fun, humorous and different way.

An Award Winning Teacher
OMalley has received numerous awards including Entertainer of the Year" award for Best Magician from the Boston Parents Paper and a special award from the Boston Fire Safety Council for his more than 50 performances at the Shriners Burn Institute.
