Macro 4, Inc. Named As Outstanding Vendor by Time Customer Service

The customer service arm of Time Magazine in the US, has named Macro 4 as one of its six Outstanding Vendors for 2002. It is the first time a software vendor has achieved this distinction. This is a massive achievement for Macro 4 for two reasons: 1. Time Customer Service was particularly demanding of TRACEMASTERs capabilities. They attached some very stringent conditions to Time Magazines acceptance period - which Macro 4 Inc surpassed! 2. As a customer service organization, Time Magazine knows what constitutes "Outstanding" Customer Service. More specifically, they have four key criteria. · High performance levels in delivery, receiving, invoicing, quality · Value added contributions, which aid TCS? in problem solving and new technology · Demonstrative total company commitment to customer service · Continuous improvement by specific contributions during the past 12 months

Macro 4 has been named as an "Outstanding Vendor" by Time Customer Service, Inc. the fulfillment arm of Time Inc. Only six of the hundreds of companies that Time Customer Service (TCS) works with were selected for this award for 2002. TCS manages the Data Center and Customer Service Operation where they handle the fulfillment for over 30 of the Time Inc Magazine titles such as Time, Sport Illustrated, People, Fortune etc. along with other companies such as National Geographic, and Martha Stewart. Macro 4 is one of only four software companies to have earned this distinction in the 15-year history of this award.

Macro 4 provided TCS with three mainframe application availability products: Dumpmaster for fault diagnosis; Tracemaster for interactive debugging and Insync for data manipulation. Collectively, the products help TCS keep the production applications running smoothly at their data center.

As a customer service organization, TCS had set forth some fairly stringent criteria for their award:

"We hold our vendors to a very high level of performance in order to meet the requirements of our clients in and outside the AOL/Time Warner Family" says Jane Sineway, Purchasing Manager for TCS. "We think it's important to recognize excellence and responsiveness in the companies that help contribute to our success," she adds noting that that TCS processes more than 260 million outgoing pieces of mail annually as well as all incoming orders and payment processing from subscribers

Time Customer Service was converting from competing products and established some very demanding criteria in terms of performance and conversion, particularly with our Tracemaster product. We knew we could meet their requirements, but were pleasantly surprised that we performed at levels worthy of their Outstanding Vendor Award."
