Earth Computer Technologies Launches 12.1"XGA Industrial Grade Panel Mount LCD

San Juan Capistrano, CA -- March 11, 2003 -- Earth Computer Technologies, has added a 12.1" panel mount monitor to complement its point of sale and kiosk LCD monitor line. It is constructed of a vandal resistant, ultra-thin metal bezel with a black powder coat finish and has a depth of just over one inch that facilitates easy drop-in installation for surface flush mount applications.

The PM-121 has wide viewing angles, vivid color reproduction, auto scaling, and field replaceable backlight bulbs. PM-121 also includes a power and hard drive LED indicator incorporated into the bezel, ideal when the PC is remotely located.

The PM-121RT is a 12.1" LCD with an optional 4-wire industrial grade resistive touch screen that is integrated within the bezel and connects to the serial port, operating via mouse emulation using the software driver. Impervious to scratches, moisture and grease, the resistive touch glass is commonly used in POS systems as well as operator controls. Market price for the PM-121 with resistive touch is $529 and without touch is $329.

By creating the PM-121 we have virtually eliminated the fit and finish work associated with embedded integration.
