Benchmarking Malaysian Technologies at CeBIT 2003

Malaysias Multimedia Development Corporation (MDC) is proud to announce its participation at this years CeBIT under the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) Pavilion. At Stand 7o7, Hall 1 of the CeBIT Fairground, the MSC Pavilion is showcasing Malaysian ICT products and solutions in the areas of eBusiness, wireless, smart card and creative multimedia from 12th to 19th March 2003.

Hannover (PRWEB) March 13, 2003 -- Malaysias Multimedia Development Corporation (MDC) is proud to announce its participation at this years CeBIT under the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) Pavilion. At Stand 7o7, Hall 1 of the CeBIT Fairground, the MSC Pavilion is showcasing Malaysian ICT products and solutions in the areas of eBusiness, wireless, smart card and creative multimedia from 12th to 19th March 2003.

The participation of MSC aims to serve the following objectives:

·   To showcase Malaysias MSC to the world;
·   To position MSC as the preferred investment location for ICT products, services and solutions;
·   To explore potential markets and areas of collaboration with CeBIT visitors;
·   To position the MSC as one of the global research and development (R&D) hub; and
·   To exhibit Malaysian ICT product, services and solutions

Our technology team will be conducting a technology trend analysis that will enable us to benchmark Malaysias technology progress and to see how we can further enhance the MSCs development to become an attractive R&D hub", said Datuk Dr. Mohamed Arif Nun, Chief Executive Officer of MDC.

The aim is to attract more companies to conduct R&D in the country", he added.

Apart from MDC, a total of four(4) companies, accorded with Malaysias MSC-status will showcase their products and services. They are:

·   Handisplay (M) Sdn Bhd -- specialising in wireless web solution for personal digital assistant (PDA) and mobile phones. (www.hadisplay.com.my);

·   Green Packet (M) Sdn Bhd -- developer of intelligent roaming and self-organising networking solutions. (www.greenpacket.com);

·   Tricubes Computers -- developer and designer of smart card and biometrics solutions. (www.tricubes.com)

Other Malaysian ICT companies showcasing at the Pavilion are:

·   VisualXtreme -- a company involved in the conceptualisation & creation of: 3D modelling & animation, visual simulation and multimedia content; and
