Wisdom River Partners Acquires GulfCoast Eldercare Plans to expand into six additional key Sunbelt markets

New firm offers local geriatric care coordination to senior citizens and their 'long-distance families' -- helping wrestle with the problems of caring for aging parents and grandparents in distant locations.

Wisdom River Partners, an Atlanta, Georgia-based corporation, has acquired GulfCoast ElderCare, a Tampa, Florida, geriatric care coordination firm. The acquisition, announced March 11th by Wisdom River CEO Bruce Brittain, was accomplished via an asset purchase agreement. Jack Ross, Esq., owner of GulfCoast ElderCare, has been named to the Wisdom River Florida Board of Directors.

Wisdom River acquired GulfCoast ElderCare for three reasons," says Brittain. The firms commitment to quality, its in-place infra-structure and its compatible corporate culture." Brittain went on to say that Wisdom River plans to expand into six additional key Sunbelt markets across the country via similar acquisitions or partnerships.

According to Brittain, geriatric care coordination is a rapidly growing private-pay industry focused on resolving the eldercare problems for families who live away from their senior loved ones. Wisdom River resolves senior care problems by knowing the best and most appropriate local resources, arranging services for the senior client, monitoring the quality of those services and reporting to the family on a routine basis. Brittain believes this relatively new personal service industry is poised for rapid expansion as Baby Boomers wrestle with the problems of caring for aging parents and grandparents in distant locations.

Wisdom Rivers goal," says Brittain, is to help our aging and frail clients remain in their own residences with the correct amount of support to insure their safety and to maintain their health and independence. Its a win-win situation. For our senior clients family, who often live hundreds of miles away, our service is a solution to the challenges imposed by long-distance caregiving. For the seniors themselves, we are their partner in maintaining independence."

Employing only Registered Nurses(RNs)and Masters-Level Social Workers(MSWs)as care coordinators, Wisdom River offers families and senior clients a unique combination of clinical expertise, local resource knowledge and empathy with the challenges of todays aging.

The local Wisdom River office is located at 7507 Alloway Street in Citrus Park (Tampa) and is managed by COO Eric Chip" Measells, former owner and CEO of Southern Oaks Senior Care Centers headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi.
