Reliance Software Systems Announces Version 2.0 Release from HIMSS 2003

New Functionality and Look Further Improve a Dynamic Clinical Integration Tool

Reliance Software Systems announced their release of version 2.0 of CDR-WebTM at HIMSS 2003 in San Diego. This version further expands on the power of XML to bring a new look and functionality to this fully browser-based application and make clinical workflow even easier for physicians and clinicians.

CDR-Web is a comprehensive clinical data repository with a 100% browser-based portal to a longitudinal, integrated patient record. Portals are unique to roles within the organization. With version 2.0, physicians and clinicians can configure most aspects of their portal pages. This gives them the ability to have multiple, configurable patient lists; on-line references; custom searches; custom e-messaging views and more.

Through configurable portals and streamlined menus and functionality, we are providing unparalleled flexibility, availability and portability to clinical information for anyone in acute care. We continue to work closely with our clinical advisory team to optimize the features of our system for physicians, residents and clinicians," said Mark Brown, CIO of Reliance Software Systems. Everyone is very pleased that the product has matured to this level in such a short amount of time," he added.

This new functionality and look further rounds out the CDR-Web suite. CDR-Web integrates with additional modules to provide customers with purchasing options to only buy what they need. Each module provides unique functionality that meets specific needs within the acute care setting. CDR-AdminTM provides easy web-based administration, configuration and reporting to program administrators and is bundled with CDR-Web. CDR-RxTM provides an easy to use, secure mechanism for writing prescriptions with drug-drug, drug-allergy, duplicate therapy, overdose/underdose and drug-lab value interaction checking for any in-patient formulary. Through RelWares partnership with First DataBank, the leading provider of drug information content to the healthcare industry, CDR-Rx provides the safe prescription writing that healthcare requires. CDR-DocumentsTM delivers 100% web-based scanning to any desktop, to further round out an already integrated patient record. CDR-PocketTM and CDR-PalmTM provide physicians with secure, HIPAA compliant, handheld, wireless access to a full electronic patient record as they communicate real-time with the clinical data repository. Comprehensive patient information and results within CDR-Web are readily available with these easy to use, browser-based views. For additional product information, visit www.cdr-web.com.
