Angel Gate Announces the Return of LEGEND OF ISIS Original Films Taps Luke McMullin to Write Screenplay Based on Popular Comics Character

BURBANK, Calif. -- March 12, 2003 -- Angel Gate, a publisher of books, comics and entertainment, today announces the return of popular Image comics character, Isis, in LEGEND OF ISIS. Original Films (Fast & The Furious," XXX" and the upcoming S.W.A.T." starring Colin Farrell, Samuel L. Jackson and Michelle Rodriguez) has begun work with screenwriter Luke McMullin (Stan Lees Forever Man") and Energy Entertainment to adapt the comic book mini-series for the big screen.

Energy Entertainment has packaged three critical partners: a writer-client (McMullin), a comic book publishing studio-client (Angel Gate) and one of the premier production shingles in Hollywood (Original Films) to return the LEGEND OF ISIS. This film is being eyed in the vein of 'Raiders of the Lost Arc

The LEGEND OF ISIS comic book mini-series is slated for release this coming November. The LEGEND OF ISIS" one-shot successfully debuted as an Image Introduces..." title in early 2002. Today Energys partners are in the throes of this first-look deal and have begun pitching to studios. This will be the first example of what our management model hopes to be doing over and over again in the near future," commented Alter.

Created by Darren G. Davis (10th MUSE and ZAK RAVEN, ESQ.), LEGEND OF ISIS is a comic book mini-series that launches in November 2003. Joining Davis in returning ISIS to the forefront of comic series heroines are the talents of writer Ryan Scott Ottney, pencils by newcomer Jeremy Roberts and inking by LeBeau Underwood. R.V. Valdez completes this creative team as the featured cover artist. This comic series will publish under Angel Gate, which also houses the popular BLACK TIDE and 10th MUSE lines.
