Avocent's DSView 2.0 Software Features DSWebview for
Browser-based Access to Multiple Servers

Huntsville, AL, March 12, 2003, Avocent Corporation (NASDAQ/NM: AVCT), the leading global provider of KVM switching and network connectivity appliances, today announced DSView 2.0, which features DSWebview, a browser-based version of the management software that is the cornerstone of Avocent's KVM OVER IP switching systems. These systems are capable of controlling virtually any number of servers in enterprise or data center environments. With DSView 2.0, administrators can use industry standard IP connections to gain secure access to any data center device. With DSWebview, administrators can troubleshoot, or even reboot a server from any location in the world using a standard web browser.
