INDEPENDENT BUSINESS WOMENS CIRCLE TO WELCOME NEW BOARD MEMBERS AT MEETING IN PLAINVIEWS CHESTNUT GROVE
GREAT NECK, NY March, 2003 The Independent Business Womens Circle, (IBWC) Long Islands social network of entrepreneurial and business women, is pleased to announce the addition of three new board members who will be welcomed at a breakfast meeting in the beautiful Chestnut Grove in Plainview, the acclaimed assisted living community, which has generously offered to sponsor the event.
Susan Pickering of Northport has assumed the position of Treasurer/Co-Membership Director. She is a financial consultant with AXA Advisors in their Melville office. She specializes in individual and small business financial planning, helping her clients achieve their financial goals through a disciplined investment and risk management process.
Ellen A. Broderick of Massapequa is also Co-Membership Director as well as the Evening Event Coordinator, responsible for hosting the IBWC quarterly evening seminars. She has over 30 years experience in the financial services industry and currently works as a financial consultant for AXA Advisors in Lake Success and as an agent of their subsidiary, the Equitable Life Assurance Company.
Keshia Richmond holds the newly created position of Director of Technology, responsible for website design, maintenance and update, as well as the handling of any and all technology issues and advances that will affect IBWC now or in the future. She is president and CEO of Deer Park-based Richmond Technology Solutions (www.richmondts.com, 631.242.8677), an IT consulting firm. She helps businesses struggling with computer and information systems so that they can make better business decisions, save time and money, and increase their competitive edge. She has extensive experience in systems analysis and design, project management, training and technical support.
The Independent Business Womens Circle, which draws its members from all over Long Island, was founded to act as a resource for all working women, providing business connections, educational seminars and a venue where they can build relationships that will significantly enhance their personal and professional lives.
They meet on the second Tuesday of each month in early afternoon where they often provide a speaker/seminar along with their networking events. This April 8th will mark IBWCs fourth anniversary and will feature a luncheon sponsored by the Womens Entrepreneurial Connection of Fleet Bank.
