New Technology Service Cuts Firms Third Largest Expense By 25% Or More

IntelePort, a San Francisco Bay Area based e-business solutions technology firm unveiled a new and innovative online system that allows small to medium size companys to obtain enterprise telecommunications services from top tier service providers at wholesale price points previously available to only the largest companies. This, without the usual long term contracts and onerous terms and penalties common to nearly all service providers.

IntelePort taday announced the launch of it's Corporate Buyers Network that allows IntelePort's subscriber clients to obtain enterprise telecommunications services and solutions at volume wholesale pricing from top tier service providers.

"Clients have been asking for this for quite some time", said Ed Brinskele, IntelePort's CEO. "Over the last three decades telecommunications services have grown to become the second or third largest expense of most businesses. During that time small to medium size firms have always wanted an equalizer when it comes to getting pricing that is only offered to Fortune 500 companies. The few discounts that service providers do offer to companies with less than 1000 employees always come with long-term contracts and onerous revenue commitments and terms."

Recently, these services provider contracts have backfired on companies as they have sought to focus their business, downsize or reduce headcount. Many of these firms are just discovering that someone in their company, often a mid level manager who is no longer with the firm, has signed a long term contract for services with a high revenue commitment at rates that are now as much as 100% or more above market pricing. Worse, reductions in staff have caused these firms to miss their contractual revenue commitments and thereby fall prey to, so called "take or pay" penalties. These penalties are often 100% of the lifetime contract commitment. Service providers have used the client's dilemma as a way to renegotiate an even longer term contract, creating a house of cards, often culminating in a legal battle that pit service providers against their customers. "Because enterprise telecommunications is often the second or third largest expense for most companies, we've actually seen situations where the contract penalties exceed the value of the business"

IntelePort's online Corporate Buyers Network allows small to medium size firms to get pricing like the bigtgest firms without having to sign multi-year contracts and without the overous terms and penalties. The Corporate Buyers Network guarantees 25% or greater savings over current pricing to IntelePort subscriber clients. Other benefits even exceed those offered to the largest firms, such as consolidated online billing, reporting and e-payment options.
