Bill was the featured guest on 'Tax Break', the show's segment that explores areas of concern to taxpayers and is moderated by David Haffenreffer, anchor of CNN's 'Money Morning'. Many of CNN's 73 million US viewers tune in to the program daily for opinions on how international, corporate and stock market events may affect their investment strategies and lifestyle.

The show's call-in format allowed Bill to address questions live from viewers. Bill, a CPA whose background includes a Master in Taxation degree as well as over 20 years of experience in the field of money management for corporations and individuals, fielded questions ranging from deductions for education and business losses to the rationale for paying taxes on Social Security benefits.

A number of callers were concerned with e-filing and how it affects documentation. Bill reported that like many technologically advanced CPA firms, his own now submits tax returns to clients on CDs, eliminating the 'fat folder' paper storage burden and streamlining the process for all concerned. As for what to watch for in 2003, Bill offered his perspective: "More audits for the self-employed, especially for top earners in the $75k+ category."
