AXXON INTRODUCES THE WORLD'S FIRST 3.3V PCI PRINTER PORT

WINDSOR, Ontario -March 16, 2003-Axxon Computer Corporation introduces the world's first low profile PCI Printer Port suitable for installation in 3.3 and 5-volt PCI/PCI-X expansion slots.

Industry trends show that contemporary small footprint motherboards and servers are being manufactured without parallel ports. In addition these devices are typically offered only in low profile chassis. To date, the only method of adding parallel ports has been to plug-in standard height 5volt I/O cards. To make matters worse, most servers now provide only 3.3-volt, 64 Bit PCI / PCI-X expansion slots.

To solve this dilemma, Axxon has created a 3.3-volt, low profile, "Universal EPP/ECP Printer Port" which enables anyone to add a parallel port to these types of motherboards. It is ideal for use with any parallel port device including license security dongles from Rainbow and Aladdin Systems.

The card was designed to provide a robust 30KV ESD tolerant IEEE-1284 parallel port with both EPP and ECP compliance. This state-of-the-art design utilizes a 3.3-volt PCI interface with 5-volt tolerant I/O buffers.

Software support is simplified via readily available device drivers for Win 9x, ME, NT, NT Server, XP, 2000, 2000 Server, Linux, DOS and VxWorks operating systems.
