This e-business is in the "pee" business

Maine e-commerce company sells predator urines to everyone from homeowners and dog owners to power companies and college students.

Only in America can a couple of guys from Maine send their kids through college by selling coyote urine." Thats what Ken Theobald and Ken Johnson will tell you when you ask them about their Bangor, Maine e-business, PredatorPee.com. These guys just seem to be having too much fun. Theobald & Johnson have discovered a unique niche for a very unlikely natural resource. The uses people come up with for predator urines just boggle the mind," says Johnson. The basic principal behind the product is that the urines of coyotes, wolves, bobcats, foxes and mountain lions are powerful natural communication tools in the wild.....talk about the original 'wireless network!" According to the self-proclaimed peemen", urine does everything from warning a prey of the presence of a predator, to marking an animals home territory and helping an animal find a mate.

Urines seem to bring out the creative juices...so to speak... in discovering new uses for the products," says Theobald. People buy predator urines for almost everything.
People figured out early on that if a deer thinks there is a coyote around, the deer is history. The same goes with squirrels if foxes are around. Its the predator -- prey instinct and it works with almost every critter from mice to moose. Its all-natural and it just makes sense to people." adds Johnson.

Apparently it not only makes sense for homeowners, but also electric power utilities as well. According the February 14, 2003 issue of The Wall Street Journal, Connecticut Power & Light has been fighting squirrel damage by using vented bottle of fox urine hung every 10 to 12 along substation fencing."

Of course, predator urine is also popular on college campuses and other areas where pranksters congregate.

The hottest use now for fox & coyote urine is in the area of puppy and dog training. According to Johnson and Theobald, a few years ago people in California started buying predator urine to train dogs to do their toilet duties in a specific area of their yard. By saturating the desired area with the predator urine, dogs reportedly quickly learn where to go and no longer mess up expensive sod lawns or manicured yards. This segment of the market is fast becoming the largest component of companys sales.

The companys website located at http://www.predatorpee.com and they sell predator urines in bottles from 8 to 144 ounces plus dispensers and a variety of predatorpee accessories."
