Seaside Software Signs UK Deal with Messaging Company Essential

Essential Computing will act as UK distributor of Seaside Software's HiPerExchange.

BRISTOL, UK, March 14, 2003 -- Seaside Software has signed a UK distribution deal with Essential Computing. Seaside, based in Redwood City, CA, publishes HiPerExchange, which saves costs by optimizing connection performance for MS Outlook Web Access users, and is the first solution to enable OWA offline functionality.

David Butler, CEO of Seaside Software, comments, "We were looking for a UK VAR partner focused on and intimately familiar with messaging and Microsoft Exchange. Essential fulfils these criteria, and we are very pleased to work with Essential to make the use of Exchange an excellent experience, anytime, anywhere."

Essential Managing Director, Keith Quinn, says, Many organisations need to support an increasingly non-office based workforce, and web technology is the ideal strategy for achieving this. With HiPerExchange, organisations have all the benefits of using OWA but with the added bonuses of increased speed and offline operation. HiPerExchange improves the end-user experience and offers dramatically higher productivity 'on the move. Where users are dialling in over the Internet, HiPerExchange significantly reduces costs as users spend the majority of their time working offline."
