"Masterpiece" Moves

Singer, author and motivator Jeff Steinberg, who calls himself a "Masterpiece in Progress," has relocated his headquarters to Orlando, Florida. Steinberg, born with no arms and deformed legs, sings his uplifting message with a powerful voice, and his mere presence is a powerful reinforcement of his core message: that YOU have far more potential than you think you have!

Singer and motivator Jeff Steinberg has relocated his national headquarters to Orlando, Florida. Steinberg, a physically challenged person who performs both nationally and internationally, recently celebrated his 30th anniversary as a performing artist at a concert at Pine Castle United Methodist Church in Orlando.

He likes the city because of the care it takes to cultivate its image as a tourist destination. "Above all, Orlando is conscious of its place in the minds of ordinary people. They care about the people who live here. It's a great city. We have all the privacy we need, but at the same time we're close enough to all of the main attractions."

As well, Steinberg said he appreciates the efforts by the state of Florida in providing assistance for persons with disabilities. "We had strong recommendations to come here by several people in Orlando, including Jim Hukill," founder of Eleos -- The Care Network, an organization devoted to helping the families of persons with disabilities. Mr. Steinberg is a member of the Eleos Board of Directors.

Author of Masterpiece in Progress, an autobiography that has sold more than 30,000 copies since its release in 1986, Steinberg was born in Philadelphia, PA, in 1951, with no arms and deformed legs. He spent his early life in homes and hospitals, including many years in the Shriners' Hospital for Crippled Children, where he underwent extensive orthopedic surgery. He learned to walk with a leg brace, and he wears an artificial arm, which enables him to drive a car and to otherwise live a "normal" life. He and his wife Ellen have four children and three grandchildren.

On stage, his presence is a powerful reinforcement of his core message: individuals possess far more potential than they think they have, no matter the outward appearances -- and they have what it takes to reach that potential. He backs that message up with a powerful singing voice, with music written specifically for him, and stories from his own life. He has two current vocal releases, Tiny Giant and Masterpiece in Progress, and a comedy album, Greetings from the President..., as well as his full-length concert video, Live In Concert, A Celebration - 25 Years.
