DMX & ASHANTI MAKE HISTORY IN PUERTO RICO

A historical event The Big Pun Tribute Concert" featuring headliners DMX and Ashanti made history at the Sola Morales Baseball Stadium in Puerto Rico on March 2nd.. This is the first time two Grammy award winning Hip-Hop/R&B superstars joined forces with Carver Entertainment, Inc. to honor one of Puerto Ricos own; the fallen Latino rap phenomenon Christopher Big Pun" Rios.

New York, NY 2003 - A historical event The Big Pun Tribute Concert" featuring headliners DMX and Ashanti made history at the Sola Morales Baseball Stadium in Puerto Rico on March 2nd.. This is the first time two Grammy award winning Hip-Hop/R&B superstars joined forces with Carver Entertainment, Inc. to honor one of Puerto Ricos own; the fallen Latino rap phenomenon Christopher Big Pun" Rios.    

DMX took time out from shooting his next film Never Die Alone" to be a part of this landmark event. He is still basking in the triumph of Cradle 2 the Grave", his latest action movie to open at #1 on the box office which co-stars international action icon Jet Li. DMX is also hard at work in the studio recording his fifth album entitled Its Not A Game".

Ashanti, still on cloud nine from winning two Grammys and beating out seasoned artists like Eryka Badu, India.Arie, and Mary J. Blidge for two honors at the Soul Train Music Awards also took time to pay homage. Her first break in the business was an appearance on the Big Pun song How We Roll" in 2001.    

The producer of this event, Carver Entertainment, is a music production company, and independent record label whose mission statement is putting music back into the music business". Carver Entertainment, along with President & CEO Peter Carver consists of award winning producers, engineers and industry veterans who have worked with likes of Destinys Child, Missy Elliot, Wyclef Jean, 112, Busta Rhymes, and Keith Sweat. All Access TV executive Lynn Santiago stated, Carver Entertainment has set the bar for this type of concert in Puerto Rico". She also remarked that the production quality was first rate, professional, and well organized. All Access TV is San Juans hottest music television station where the videos of DMX, Ashanti, and Carvers own act Chello are in steady rotation.

Chello is Carver Entertainments debut artist. He is a two-time winner at the Apollo Theater. He is a creative, and vocally endowed Latino R&B singer. Chello has recently opened shows for multi-platinum Hip-Hop superstar Nelly (Universal Records) and last month was seen in 36 countries performing on Univisions top rated dance/variety show Caliente". Chello, who was the opening act for the concert stated, Sharing the stage with DMX and Ashanti was the experience of a lifetime". He is looking forward to future concerts and a debut album with Carver Entertainment.
