According to Newsweek magazine, it is anticipated that by the year 2005, 50 percent of households in the U.S. alone will be involved in home businesses.

For moms and dads who have suspended their careers to care for their children, or anyone wanting to learn more about home-based business opportunities, an event addressing this topic will be held in Omaha, Saturday, April 12th, 2003, 11:00 am -- 4:00 pm, at the Howard Johnson Hotel, 4706 S. 108th St. It is sponsored by WAHOO (Work at Home Opportunity Organization).

The free event will provide valuable information and resources for establishing and operating home businesses. The first 100 entrants will receive free gifts. Participants also can enjoy free samples and register to win prizes. Children are welcome.

Participating exhibitors include: AtHome America, Berning Group, Country Bunny Bath & Body, Discovery Toys, Home and Garden Party, Homemade Gourmet, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Nutri-System, PartyLite Gifts, Reliv, Young Living, and dozens more! Special guest includes Teresa Lyons, published author of I'm a Work-at-Home Mommy--You can be too!: a guide for moms who want to work at home.

Chris Nitz, Tracy Starkel, and Kim Rowley, three home business entrepreneurs from Pierce, Nebraska, joined forces and formed WAHOO to help others find work-at-home employment, promote work-at-home businesses and locate overall business resources. Nitz, mother of two, is an independent beauty consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics. Tracy Starkel, mother of two, is a diamond designer for Home and Garden Party. Kim Rowley, mother of four, does online affiliate marketing (www.workinmypajamas.com) and was recently recognized in USAToday as a successful home business entrepreneur.
