WWII Planes of Fame" to Make Unscheduled Arizona Stop
Marana, Arizona
The notorious 'Planes of Fame WWII Fighter Aircraft will make an unscheduled and unprecedented stop at the Marana Regional Airport on March 18, 2003. The original twenty-city tour did not include tomorrows landing in Marana. Tucson Aeroservice Center is proudly hosting this exclusive free event.

The 'Planes of Fame WWII Fighter Aircraft are scheduled to land at the Marana Regional Airport around 11:30 am on Tuesday, March 18th, 2003. Scheduled to be on site are the Corsair, P-40 and the P-38 aircraft. These unique aircraft will be on site for photo opportunities and informational tours. These planes are completely operational and flyable. The aircraft on display at the Marana Regional Airport are sole surviving examples of their type and are living history". These aircraft are not only preserved, but are kept flying.
The Marana Regional Airport is located west of I-10 on Avra Valley Road. It is also the home of Tucson Aeroservice Center. These airplanes may have been built in a time gone by, but the unforgettable sound and smell of the aircraft, as well as the enthusiastic spirit of the pilots who flew them to world records, trophies and combat victories, are still alive and well and may be seen Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at the Marana Regional Airport. This is the perfect opportunity for enthusiasts of all ages to see these historical gems up close!
