Phoenix Family Launches Disaster Preparedness Shop.
A Phoenix family, Tuesday, launced Imprepared.com to aid families, individuals and businesses in disaster preparedness.
PHOENIX- Are you prepared for an emergency? One Phoenix family wasnt, until recently.
With all of the talk about disaster preparedness, 72-hour kits, duct tape and plastic sheeting, we didnt know where to begin when trying to prepare our family for emergencies," said Laura Smith, partner in ImPrepared.com. We figured other people were in the same boat, and thus ImPrepared.com was born."
ImPrepared.com launched their web site Tuesday, offering disaster preparedness kits in every price range, that will equip families, individuals and businesses with essential supplies. Starting at $10 for a basic 1-day kit, the packages contain a variety of supplies including Coast Guard-approved food rations, water purification tablets, duct tape, flash lights, radios, tents, solar blankets, dust masks, gas and water shut-off tools, first-aid supplies and more. All kits come neatly packaged in a box, backpack or honey bucket, for storage or portability.
We sincerely hope that none of us will ever have the need for survival products," Smith said. But we feel, in our family, it is important to be prepared for any kind of emergency whether that be a terrorist attack, war, fire, earthquake, flood, etc."
ImPrepared.com is currently pledging 10 percent of its profits to the Red Cross.
