TFP to Market BSA and AML Management System from Banker's Toolbox

TFP has entered into an agreement with Banker's Toolbox to market BAM, a comprehensive account monitoring and risk reduction solution for community banks.

Skokie, IL and Los Angeles, CA -- March 20, 2003 -- TFP, a division of Thomson Media, has signed an agreement with Los Angeles-based Bankers Toolbox to market their Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Management System, BAM, a comprehensive account monitoring and risk reduction solution for community banks.

BAM is designed to meet the BSA and AML needs of small to medium-sized financial institutions. By providing an affordable but powerful system that supports the identification of unusual activity, financial institutions of any size can address the increasingly complex requirements stemming from the USA PATRIOT Act and recent regulatory examinations. Once an unusual activity is identified, the AML officer at the financial institution can research, document, and if determined to be a suspicious activity, file the appropriate Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) from a single application. BAM also stores all relevant transaction and customer data in a single database and has easy-to-use analysis and reporting tools.

BAM provides local and regional financial institutions that are facing less risk than global institutions with the ability to comprehensively manage the risks associated with the Bank Secrecy and USA PATRIOT Acts, at a price point that is commensurate to that risk.

We specialize in working with our customers existing systems, and by customizing BAM to work with those systems we can provide a comprehensive solution that does not intrude on the banks existing infrastructure," said Daniel Cho, chief information officer of Bankers Toolbox. We are truly excited about this partnership with TFP. With TFPs OFAC and CTR automation solutions, combined with BAM, we will provide our customers with a proven end-to-end solution for their BSA and AML requirements."

BAM is one of the most economical solutions for AML transaction monitoring and is generally targeted towards financial institutions with less than $10 billion in total assets. Recognizing that the needs of larger financial institutions are different than a community bank, TFP also maintains strong relationships with other leading AML vendors.

As the leading provider of OFAC and global entity interdiction solutions to a wide array of customers, TFP understands the need to provide a high-end, sophisticated solution to larger organizations, as well as a cost-effective, less complex, solution to smaller organizations," said Glenn Gottfried, managing director of TFP. BAM fills in a gap that has existed with respect to solutions targeted to community banks and credit unions."
