Although most of the public is not aware of it, it is not a quiet revolution, and will affect tens of millions of people over the next generation. With POD publishing, books can be printed as orders come in, and a sale of 20 to 50 copies is usually enough to start seeing a profit. Most people have that many relatives and friends.
