St Louis, MO -- March 28, 2003 -- Advanced Web Projects announces the acquisition of its first dedicated web server for ePeoplePlace.com. The web server will be housed in the St. Louis carrier hotel, and provide increased speed, stability, and reliance to ePeoplePlace customers.
This server signifies our enhanced capability to serve an increased amount of customers, as well as introduce the ability to host additional co-branded ePeoplePlace sites" said Tom Bloomfield, Chief Technical Officer. Previously we had leased severs at an out of state location. The purchase of our own equipment provides us, as well as our customers, with a greater level of flexibility in implementing additional features and redundancy for projects."
The custom-built web server will improve daily costs for the site by an estimated 80% a month, and will provide additional scalability over previous customer and cash expenditure models. The server is expected to go online during the first week of April."
Advanced Web Projects is a small, privately owned company founded in 2002. Team members are committed to promoting the connection of users through the development of online communication tools, including the Validus(tm) messaging system, Ayume(tm) embedded email, and ePeoplePlace community.
