Hewlett-Packard Names Genesis Technologies, Inc. as Value Incentive Partner for Top-of-Line Laser Printer

Genesis Technologies, Inc. announces agreement with Hewlett-Packard Company to become Value Incentive Partner (VIP) reseller for hps newest network-compatible multi-function printer, the HP LaserJet 9000. The agreement initially covers the greater Chicago area, but Genesis will also have the right to sell the product in other markets it serves.

Northbrook, IL -- Genesis Technologies, Inc. has announced an agreement with Hewlett-Packard Company to become a Value Incentive Partner (VIP) reseller for hps newest network-compatible multi-function printer, the HP LaserJet 9000. The agreement initially covers the greater Chicago area, but Genesis will also have the right to sell the product in other markets it serves.

HPs line of multifunction printers was conceived as an alternative to digital copiers for companies with local area networks (LAN). Digital copiers were introduced during the last decade by several major manufacturers as a possible high speed copying solution that could be integrated into a companys LAN. Reality, however, has not worked out that way. In fact, only one in three digital copiers actually ends up as part of a network. The rest merely become expensive stand-alones.

The HP LaserJet 9000 is the newest and most sophisticated in a series of multi-function printers available from the company. When HP introduced the product earlier this year, they initially sought to distribute the LaserJet 9000 through copier dealers, but that channel proved less than effective.
