Langley Value Village to Reopen April 24th; Last customers out during fire to be first inside new store
Langley, British Columbia -- The Langley Value Village store, which was destroyed by fire in May 2002, will celebrate the Grand Opening of their new store on April 24th, 2003, starting at 9:00 am.
At the highly anticipated Grand Opening, the first customers to enter the store will be the last two customers to have left the burning building last year. Terrina Veldhden and her son Jarred, who were regular Value Village shoppers at the time of the fire, are thrilled to take part in the celebration.
All five Value Village team members in the store at the time of the fire will also be in attendance. The team, whose quick thinking during the tragedy ensured every shoppers safe escape, has been praised by City Councilmen and the Fire Department.
The people of Langley have really let us know how much Value Village has been missed over this past year," says District Manager Mike Davison. Were really glad to be coming back to the community after the fire, and to such a warm welcome."
The Grand Opening will feature tons of bargains and fun for customers and their kids, including a Cash Cube, a balloon-making pirate, free face-painting, popcorn, coffee, and more. Members of the City Council, including the Mayor, have been invited.
The new store will open in the same location it stood before, at 5666 Glover Road in Langley.
