Support For The Troops Soar!

With the onset of Operation Iraqi Freedom", Request for membership in eMail Our Military (eMOM) reaches a record high!

The number of people wanting to show their support for the military is overwhelming", said BiBi Melguizo, the Web site's creator, owner and Public Affairs Director. " Its an incredibly heart warming. People from all over the globe want to show their support to the troops. We have had over 300,000 hits on our website so far this month. Its inspiring!"

Melguizo stated Not everyone is in agreement about this war, but they all want to show their support for the men & women who are risking their lives in it" The troops need to know that we care about them, regardless of our political views." Its an amazing feeling to know that so many from all over the world really care and want our troops to know it." Melguizo said with a smile.

Melguizo states that Our members have received so many letters from the troops we support, talking about how much more difficult their situations are made when all they hear about is the Anti-War protests going on in America." Sighing, Melguizo goes on to say, They feel they are out there risking their lives for these folks & they dont even care. It really bothers them and thats hard to hear."

Thats why we are here and thats why they need us so much. eMail Our Military solely exists to extend that support and let our troops know WE DO CARE!" Melguizo exclaims.

eMailOurMilitary (eMOM) provides a safe way for people to continue the tradition of "Any Service Member" mail with a much more personal touch because military service members actually request support through the program. It's an opportunity to let civilians show America's military how much we appreciate what our troops do on our behalf 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, not just during war time.

eMailOurMilitary (eMOM) directly supports troops with eMail, cards and letters. Melguizo states, We dont want to be confused with other sites that post messages to a public website. The majority of troops participating in Operation Enduring Freedom & Operation Iraqi Freedom do not have web access. We correspond directly with our troops because they have eMail access."

There are approximately 200,000 troops deployed and we would love to be able to reach them all and sign them up for support." Melguizo said, But eMOM relies on the help, contributions & sponsorships they receive for day-to-day operations & the cost of the care packages & shipping. We have a tremendous need for support but the funds are not matching the need at this time. We really could use some help in that area." Melguizo continues, We have numerous people wanting to correspond to show their support, but not many can help with contributions. Our nation is going through a tough time right now. There are families who are out of work but they still try to support our military anyway they can. Its really touching."
