11-year-old wiz kid supports the US Troops and their Families. She is now supporting the US Troops and their families by giving the children of those families a free huggable Oo-Mee Pillow and sing-a-long song from her new company.
NORTH ANDOVER -- March 27, 2003. Still only a fifth grader at the Atkinson Elementary School in this suburb north of Boston, Kelly Reinhart has given children with dreams more hope. At the ripe old age of 11, Kelly has on her resume of being an Inventor, CEO, and Founder of a non-profit organization, speaker, college student, author, and radio talk show host. She is now supporting the US Troops and their families by giving the children of those families a free huggable Oo-Mee Pillow and sing-a-long song from her new company. She knows the anxiety of these families because her brother just enlisted in the US Air Force.
Oo-Mee is just another successful business venture of Kellys. She has co-authored a childrens book that was written based around this fictional character called Oo-Mee. The Oo-Mee story is intended for all ages in mind and is to be used as a reminder of ones own inner strength and for comfort. Along with the book is an Oo-Mee pillow shaped like a teardrop that is made of a soft flannel fabric and an Oo-Mee sing-along song that was sung by her sister, cousin and friends. Oo-Mee shirts are also made available. She has been asking people to sponsor a soldiers family. Every Oo-Mee package purchased will sponsor a child of a service member. A child of a service member will receive a pillow and song for every sponsor. The Oo-Mees that are given to each child will be screen printed with We are proud". She hopes this gesture will give the children comfort in this scary time.
Kelly has for the last few years taken many by surprise. She is now being filmed for a documentary on entrepreneurs that is to be aired in September. Her story has fascinated children from all over. Kelly is a young but intelligent little girl with special qualities and yet acts like a normal 11 year old. Kelly is still determined to prove that anyone can do anything with the right amount of effort. With this girls enthusiasm and creativity, you never know what will be next.
