MARCH 31ST -- STUDENT OF COLOR DAY OF SILENCE and RALLY FOR EDUCATIONAL JUSTICE at University of Michigan
Students of color at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor will lead a Day of Silence on the eve of the Supreme Courts oral arguments on the affirmative action admission cases in Washington, DC.
WHO: SSAA (Students Supporting Affirmative Action), a collective of graduate and undergraduate student leaders from many different organizations at the University of Michigan.
WHAT: Students of color at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor will lead a Day of Silence on the eve of the Supreme Courts oral arguments on the affirmative action admission cases in Washington, DC.
WHY: We will attempt to generate dialogue and awareness of the destructive educational and societal effect of removing affirmative action from admissions in higher education.

MARCH 31ST -- 5PM RALLY FOR EDUCATIONAL JUSTICE
WHAT: The campus community will break the silence with a Rally for Educational Justice on the University of Michigans central campus Diag.
WHO: Featured speakers will include Detroit activist Grace Lee Boggs, along with U-M faculty and student leaders. Hundreds of students will be leaving Ann Arbor to travel to Washington, DC after the Rally for Educational Justice to make their voices heard.
