UBI and Ocimum Sign Distribution Agreement

for sequence analysis and LIMS in Canada

Costa Mesa, CA March 31, 2003 -- United Bioinformatica Inc. (UBI), the leading distributor of bioinformatics software in Canada and Ocimum Biosolutions (Ocimum) announced today that they have completed a distribution agreement for:

Genchek - a comprehensive multi-platform Sequence Analysis software package that facilitates analysis of Expressed Sequence Tags (ESTs), Complete Genome, and SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) data

and

BioTracker - a Laboratory Information Management System for improving laboratory performance.

Genchek is the only commercial desktop sequence analysis software with a modern database (MySQL), written in the industry standard Java language, that is priced right for the academic market," said Lindsay Moir, President of UBI.
