COMMERCE SCIENCE CORP ANNOUNCES COMPANY STRATEGY; BOARD APPOINTMENTS
-- New Atlanta E-Commerce Provider Names AirTran Airways Director to Board --
ATLANTA (PRWEB) April 2, 2003 -- Commerce Science Corporation (CSC), a new e-commerce service provider, today announced its presence in the Atlanta technology community by unveiling its concept and technology for Internet marketing: customizable, income-producing, private-label Internet stores. With this concept, an organization- businesses, charities, or universities-- can tap new revenue/fund-raising sources by moving into online commerce with very little time or cost. In addition, Commerce Science announced the initial members of its board of directors.
The CSC-developed E-Store has virtual shelves in four departments. The Warehouse Store is a virtual warehouse stocked by CSC with thousands of name-brand products and services at no cost to the client. The Custom Store is designed with the look and feel of the CSC client and filled with inventory chosen and priced specifically for the clients members and/or customers. When an order is placed in the Custom Store, the product is drawn from the virtual shelves of the Warehouse Store, processed through the CSC e-commerce engine to the respective vendor and shipped directly from the vendor to the customer.
In addition to the E-Store, CSC provides customers with private-label Internet access and a custom online Travel Agency available to organizational employees and/or members.
We believe our unique e-commerce program can enhance the revenue, fund raising and employee morale for virtually every company or organization that joins our program", said Bob Helmer, President of Commerce Science Corp. CSC creates a relationship that benefits everyone involved - organizations, vendors and employees, with minimal cost or effort."
Commerce Science Corporation was founded three years ago by Robert Helmer and Michel Fontaine, veterans of the wholesale product and distribution industries. CSCs board of directors and advisors includes Lewis Jordan, director of Air Tran Airways, Glen Hammer, chairman of WaCA, and Bruce Jones, president of Wholesale Endeavors.
