Furnitureland South, the Worlds Largest Home Furnishings Showplace, has partnered with Intellitek, a leading provider of online commerce solutions for the Furniture Industry, to incorporate a high-impact and dynamic image rendering system into the Furnitureland South Website.

Design Elements by Intellitek is Furnitureland Souths answer to offering a simple but detailed way for their clients to choose a piece of upholstered furniture and experience different types of fabrics on the piece with a simple click of the mouse. Website visitors can even change the fabric on the sofa pillows and fringe to create a truly custom piece of upholstered furniture. All of the images are designed to each manufacturers specification through a web-based management process.

The Furnitureland South Website is one of the most technologically advanced furniture retailing websites in the industry. The Website has evolved into a shopping and planning tool where visitors can search tens of thousands of products from name brand manufacturers. The Furniture Search application, developed last year, is one of the most comprehensive search tools available from a home furnishing retailers Website. Marrying the new Intellitek Design Elements tool with the Furnitureland South Search application will give clients even more flexibility when viewing the products online.

Once the Website visitor uses the Design Elements functionality to render specific items of interest, they can add those items to an application called the Design Folder that houses furniture images and descriptions for the visitor. The Design Folder is set up by the client, who can create multiple rooms, such as Our Family Room" or Our Living Room." The selected items are stored in the appropriate room. The visitor can toggle from room to room and browse the photos stored, along with descriptive information for each item. Once the visitor is satisfied with their furniture selections, they can send their personalized Design Folder to a sales and design associate at Furnitureland South to begin a dialogue. Often, the Furnitureland South sales and design associate will create a Design Folder and send it to their client, which helps begin the shopping experience.

The Design Folder works in tandem with the online Room Planner application, developed earlier this year by Furnitureland South. Using the same room names and configurations, furniture can be sized and placed within the Room Planner environment, which can also be emailed to an associate at Furnitureland South.

Integrating the Design Elements technology will continue to enhance Furnitureland Souths clients ability to visualize each piece of furniture and enable them to customize the pieces to meet their needs.
