Anniversary Marks Success Story For One Virginia Business

Corporate University Enterprise, Inc. attributes its five-year milestone to hard work and partnership.

FALLS CHURCH, Va -- April 2, 2003 -- From start-up to full-service consulting firm, Corporate University Enterprise, Inc. celebrates its five-year anniversary in April, 2003. CUE's sound business practices, patience with growth, and dedication to founding principles have gotten the firm to this milestone achievement.

CUE provides consulting and logistical services to new and existing corporate universities. The federal government and a variety of private sector industries, such as manufacturing and hospitality, make up CUEs client list.

Co-founders, John Wells, Ed.D, former president and current Senior Advisor, and Karen Barley, current president, attribute the company's success to the employees and the clients who took a chance with the two educators turned entrepreneurs five years ago.

Vision is only achieved through tactical operations. Our vision for CUE has been realized through the dedication of our personnel and first clients who were willing to take a risk with us in the beginning," remarks Dr. Wells.

Through out CUEs maturation, the company stayed close to its core principles -- partnership and lifelong learning. We set and achieved realistic goals one step at a time. We didnt believe then and dont believe now that we can build partnership based on lofty ideas and spending other peoples money," says Barley.

Now, in 2003, CUE has an ambitious strategic plan to grow from a start-up to a mature consulting concern. The strategic plan calls for continued expansion in the areas of corporate university training logistics administration and corporate university consulting. In addition, CUE is placing an increased emphasis on thought leadership. Already, CUE offers a book, a major international study, and a white paper.

To support the planned growth, CUE recently moved into a new office suite in Falls Church, Virginia. The new suite offers state-of-the-art facilities and easy access for clients in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
