FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nashville, Tenn (March 31, 2003) - The Nashville New Music Conference will present the third annual installment of 2NMC Wednesday, September 10th through Saturday, September 13th in Nashville, Tennessee.
Daytime conference events will be held Wednesday through Saturday, at the Doubletree Hotel Nashville - the official host hotel of 2NMC. Highlights of this year's daytime events include: panel discussions, mentor sessions, keynote speakers, clinics, music industry career day, the 2NMC trade show (open to the public), networking parties and a studio tour of Nashville.
Nighttime events, held Thursday through Saturday, will be held in Nashville music venues, and will feature artist showcases featuring a wide variety genres including: Rock, Pop, Urban, Singer-Songwriter, Christian, Americana, Country and more.
Both Nashville and the independent music community in general have been incredibly supportive of 2NMC", said Conference Promotions Director and Cofounder, David Hooper. Last year, we had an increase in attendance of almost 75% over our first event, and we've taken that into account when planning for 2003. We are excited to be moving our daytime events to the DoubleTree Hotel Nashville. The staff has been wonderful to work with, and their conference space is a great fit with our event. As with last years conference, our aim is to empower independent musicians...to provide the knowledge and resources necessary to succeed whether you want to do things on your own or catch the eye of a major label."
2NMC offers independent music artists of all genres an opportunity to perform, network and learn in a professional environment designed to encourage them in their pursuit of a successful career in the music industry. The conference attracts a mixture of established independent musicians, emerging acts, and established national artists with new material. The conference staff, all professionals in the industry, is dedicated to the goal of educating and empowering independent musicians and music business professionals.
Artists interested in showcasing at the event will submit an application and sample of their music for consideration by 2NMC's listening committee of music industry professionals. This committee will then select showcase performers in each genre based on their level of songwriting & performance ability.
Artist submissions will be accepted beginning in April of 2003. For more information, please visit www.2nmc.com.
