Lake Image Systems' plastic card verification solutions to be demonstrated at CardTech in Orlando.

Lake Image systems has released their latest verification and production reporting solution which enables plastic card processors to verify and prove the integrity of plastic card production. This new solution, The Plastic Card Detective, will be demonstrated in booth #1639 at the CardTech exhibition in Orlando, May 13-15.

Lake Image Systems will be demonstrating the latest addition to its suite of Mailing Integrity Solutions, The Plastic Card Detective, at this years CardTech exhibition in Orlando, Florida. The Plastic Card Detective verifies and proves the integrity of plastic card data, magnetic stripe data and carrier document information, ensuring the matching of these personalized components as they are merged on a card attacher or mailing base. The solution utilizes a combination of cameras, scanners and magnetic stripe readers to decode the variable information from embossed and printed plastic cards and their corresponding carrier documents. Upon identifying a mismatched piece, the solution can automatically stop the equipment or divert the defective piece. Additional applications for the Plastic Card Detective include: identification of correct carrier material (base stock verification), pin number verification and recording, sequential document/magnetic stripe verification, and in-line read & print personalization. These solutions allow the card processing equipment to operate at maximum speeds, eliminating the labor required for manual inspection processes.

Based on a Windows NT platform, the solutions reporting structure enables the user to compare data from the cards and carrier documents, in real time, to the print file information to ensure that all items from the print file are produced without missing or duplicate items. The Plastic Card Detective provides networkable reports of missing, duplicate and all items processed. CardTech Exhibition runs May 13-15 in Orlando, Florida.
